About two months ago, the annual Sonoma County Fair took place from August 1-10 at the Santa Rosa Fairgrounds and the theme was “Hot Dogs and Cool Cats”. There were a number of reasons why people came to the fair. Some came for the awesome events taking place, enjoyed rides, or to help show animals. Some popular rides people enjoyed going on were the mega flip, white water, the zipper, the hammer, and the swinging chairs. I created a survey, asking attendees questions about their experience at the Sonoma County Fair. They reported that they wished there were more rides for teens, water related activities, and a drop tower. Another thing besides the rides that makes the fair so remarkable is the food and drinks. It had been revealed that some of the best choices were the curly fries, baked potatoes, agua fresca de pepino, the strawberry cheesecake ice cream, churros, and elotes. Every year, the Sonoma County Fair has several shows and performances happening throughout the week and many people came to the fair this year just to see these exceptional performances put on. A few of the survey takers said that the monster truck show was fun to watch and listening to La Banda Maguey perform was also delightful to listen to.
