May Food For the Common Dude: Some Easy Milkshake Recipes for Y’all
May 22, 2018
Summer is just around the corner. It’s legitimately SO close. And you know what screams “summer?” Milkshakes. So, here are five (5) easy milkshake recipes. They’re so simple. Seriously. There’s no reason for you not to try them. Like, they can even be made vegan by using non-dairy substitutes, so you have literally no excuse. And the actual “making the milkshake” process is so quick and straightforward: just put all the ingredients in a blender and hit that power button! Now without further ado…
- PEANUT BUTTER CHOCOLATE
This is what it would taste like if you put a bunch of Reese’s Cups in a blender.
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup ice cubes
- ⅓ cup smooth peanut butter
- 2 cups chocolate ice cream
2) CINNAMON ROLL
Okay, remember that we’re going for yummy, not healthy.
- 2 cups French vanilla ice cream
- ¼ cup milk
- ⅓ cup marshmallow fluff
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3) ORANGE CREME
Garnish with orange slices for extra class.
- 2 ½ cups vanilla ice cream
- ¾ cup orange juice
- ⅓ cup milk
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
4) OREO
It’s a classic.
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream
- ½ cup milk
- 6-8 Oreos
5) CHOCOLATE MINT
Liquified Thin Mints (but good, since that sounds gross).
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream
- 1 drop peppermint extract
- ¼ cup milk
- ¼ cup chocolate syrup
And there you have it! It should be noted that, technically, all of these milkshake recipes serve two people. But, with finals just around the corner, have the whole thing. You deserve it. Also, it should be noted that all of these taste better with whipped cream. Everything tastes better with whipped cream. That’s a scientific fact. Google it.
