Basketball is a staple of the winter sports season, and both the girls’ and boys’ varsity basketball teams are off to a great start. The girls’ team is captained by Sophie McFadin and Bailey Hunter. The Lady Tigers are currently 3-1 in league and 10-8 overall. Returning to the team this season are Bailey Hunter, Kayla Cullen, Alexis Dibene, Sophie McFadin, Maddie Strom, and Isabella Niedermair. Some very talented juniors and sophomores have also been added to the roster from last year’s junior varsity squad: Claire Brown, Lauren Murnin, Isabel Houseman, Lauren Lehman, and Julie Ambrose are proving to be fantastic additions to the varsity team. The girls are once again being coached by Earl Passamonte. The Lady Tigers would appreciate the support of their classmates and friends at their senior night, which is taking place on February 4th at 7:30 pm against Healdsburg High School. The boys’ team is captained by Joe Chanin-Meiers and Dominic Tripodi. They are currently undefeated in league and 13-5 overall. Returning to the team this year are Dominic Tripodi, Aiden Toner-Rodgers, Jordan Armstrong, Joe Chanin-Meiers, Spencer Vogel, Grant Schwall, Zach Binsfeld, and Jack Newman. The varsity team is also benefitting from the addition of Shaviv Hoffman Lowitz, Quinn Vermeulan, Connor Waldo, Kevin Eling, and Luke Bertling. The Tigers are once again coached by Brett Page. The boys’ senior night takes place on February 8th at 7:30 pm versus Petaluma High School. Make sure and get out and support your Tiger basketball teams!
