Pool Updates
November 27, 2016
This year’s floating pumpkin festival was a success; almost everyone brought a pumpkin! Unfortunately, the super bright candles cooked all of the pumpkins into a pumpkin stew. For health reasons, we cannot allow any swimmers in the pool until all of the stew is consumed. Fire pits will be provided for the less adventurous.
November 6th marks the end of Daylight Savings Time. As soon as the stew is finished, we will be switching to winter hours.
Just a reminder, the pool is a common pit stop for migrating waterfowl. Let’s make sure the stew is gone before they get here. Canadian geese can be aggressive so do not approach them. They aren’t even afraid of tigers.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Enjoy spending time with your family. If you are alone this Thanksgiving, we will be having a small meal for the pool family. We hope there will be no pumpkin stew left, but if there is, it will be all we are serving.
